I got Bon Voyage yesterday! No problems with installing and no problems so far while playing. I took out all of my hacks, but left all of the other custom content in. I'm going to have to put Acadia on hold until the hacks it relies on get updated (but I still have several updates ready to go up in the meantime. I've played through all of week 3 up until the last house of the cycle).

I wanted to send a family on vacation to try out the new features, so I chose the Ledgers, who are my self Sim Dawn, her husband Heath Ledger, and their kids.

I sent them on a five day vacation, but I only played through the first two days last night so here's part one of their trip.

This is like the most unfortunate looking Sim kid I've ever had.



It'll be a few updates before I tell you who she is, but I just had to share this picture. She actually looks a bit better now, as a toddler she had no chin at all.

Anyway, I'm purposely using some Sims who aren't model perfect in Acadia so that I'll have a mixture of genes. I like having pretty Sims for a legacy, but in a whole neighborhood of different families it's not realistic that they all have perfect tiny features (plus they'd probably all end up resembling each other). So that's the reason I'm marrying in some Sims that have not so appealing features, such as Luis's wife Elizabeth. I'm curious to see how the features combine in future generations. Even if I do end up with kids who look like the above.

Also I had the worst birthday party ever in my game this weekend, but it was hilarious.

I got two Sims stuff packs for my birthday yesterday! I got H&M Fashion Stuff from my friend Amber and Celebration Stuff from my husband. The stuff from those packs won't show up in the Acadia updates until the third week though because I'm playing a week ahead of my updates.
